Features of iOS 27 in StatusIQ

The StatusIQ mobile app supports the latest iOS 27 capabilities, including on-screen awareness, AI-assisted postmortem generation, Siri actions in Spotlight, and the new extra-large widget, for faster incident response and status communication.

Key features

The following iOS 27 features are supported in the StatusIQ mobile app:

  • On-screen awareness
Use Siri AI to summarize and understand the information on the Incident and Maintenance details pages. On these pages, you can ask Siri to summarize the on-screen information, or specify an Incident or Maintenance name, and ask for its details.
For example, you can say, Hey Siri, can you brief me on the Zylker Ops incident? You can also ask follow-up questions about the information on the current screen. The conversations are automatically saved in the Siri app.
Benefit: Gather incident and maintenance details directly through Siri instead of through manual intervention.
  • Postmortem generation with foundation models
Once an incident is resolved, use Generate with AI to create a customer-ready postmortem draft. You can provide the incident details, status updates, or more details to include what went wrong, the root cause analysis, the resolution timeline, and remediation steps in the postmortem. All these details are based on user-provided information and are accurate.
Benefit: Produce a customer-ready postmortem in minutes instead of writing one from scratch.
  • Take action with Siri AI in Spotlight
Use Siri AI to perform key actions on incidents and maintenance pages directly through Spotlight. You can post a status update, acknowledge or resolve an incident, or extend a maintenance window; or you can mark an incident as maintenance, all without opening the StatusIQ app. You can also search for a specific incident, maintenance window, or component from Spotlight and open it directly. Create shortcuts and deploy them on the home screen.
Benefit: Manage incidents and status updates directly from your Home Screen using Siri for faster responses while on the go.
  • Extra-large widget
iOS 27 introduces an extra-large widget, which StatusIQ uses as a full-page operations board: Active incidents are sorted by severity, ongoing maintenance, and the next scheduled maintenance window, with one-tap links into each list.
Benefit: Get a passive, at-a-glance view of incident and maintenance statuses without opening the app—ideal for a NOC desk display or your Home Screen.
  • Liquid glass optimization
You can dynamically adjusts the transparency and opacity of liquid glass elements based on your device’s system settings. This ensures that content remains clear and easy to read across different display preferences.
For example, if your system settings use higher contrast or reduced transparency, the app automatically adapts the liquid glass effect to provide a more solid and readable appearance. If transparency is enabled, the app maintains the glass effect while ensuring that the content remains visible.
Benefit: You get a consistent and comfortable viewing experience with improved readability, regardless of your system display settings.
